What's In My Make Up Bag | Updated

I'm normally the type of person who puts all their make up in storage and uses it as and when needed rather than sticking to a similar routine on a daily basis, mainly because I have so many expensive products I need to use otherwise they've been a complete waste of money. However in the recent weeks I've started to use a make up bag of products instead as it gives me an extra 15 minutes of sleep (fabulous). 

Firstly this make up bag is absolutely divine,  quite childlike I suppose but the pugs with a bow collar are just beyond adorable and I've been squeezing this into the smallest of bags just so I can look at it more. It's from Ted Baker and was in the ASOS sale for £15 reduced from £22. It is PVC as you can probably tell by the flashback in the photo which also makes it easy to keep clean!.

I've definitely become a 'Mac girl' as the months have gone by. I find them to be easy products to rely on in the sense that I know exactly what I'm getting with each product I buy. 

I use the above products to create a natural base so my skin looks as bare as it can be with contouring to add shape to my face. Although I'm realitively slim unfortunately I haven't been blessed with a face to match so I like to add products to help me not look like a fat baby. I'm also starting to use light coloured blushes, eye shadows and lipsticks as again it matches the natural look.

Lastly I've been loving highlighting with a couple of products which is what I use the Mac Light Boost and lighter concealer for as it just makes me look more awake and helps to brighten up my normally dull looking face!.

I haven't included my mascaras or powders because I use that many at the moment I'd need tens of pictures to show them all!. 

Favourites | Bronzer

To make up for my lack of posting I decided this week to do a favourites series everyday of my absolute must have favourites from the first quarter of 2013 and for those who have different budgets I've included both my high end and drugstore favourites!.

First up is bronzer which I can't go a day without during winter as ghostly pale isn't always such a great look.

High End Favourite - Chanel Bronze Universel £30

 I absolutely love this bronzer at the moment and i've even ditched my Nars Laguna in favour of this!. This it the only product I own that I'm sure I will use forever. As it's a cream product I apply it by contouring it first with a stippling brush then slowly blending it in as it's too orangey to just use for creating shadow. However it does do a beautiful job of naturally bronzing your face but in a "I'm tanned" way not in the usual "I have no colour on my face because the product I used has no pigmentation" way. This is pretty expensive considering however this will last me for at least 6/7 months as I've had it for 2 already and there's barely a mark on it. I'd highly recommend this if your all for the "glowy" look as it adds to it rather than mattifying like powder bronzers do.

Drugstore Favourite - Rimmel Natural Bronzer in Light £4.69

This bronzer is the only high pigmented drugstore bronzer I've found. I find it relatively long lasting considering it's only a light powder and blends perfectly out which is something I struggle to do with the Nars Laguna bronzer. I'd say this is the perfect bronzer for people just starting out with the basics of make up (it's also the first one I ever used) as it's incredibly simple to use and incredibly hard to go wrong with!.

February Wishlist

A short but sweet post for this dreary Sunday afternoon. 

When the weathers like this there's nothing better than a day in bed window shopping to make sure I'm all prepared for the strike of midnight on the 23rd (aka pay day). 

I'm still trying to budget my spending so unfortunately I'm trying to keep my wishlist down as much as possible!. 

Firstly we have the leather Pandora shoes from Topshop which I've spied in the sale for £50 reduced from £95 which is fab because I've been lusting over these since December!
